Duplex buttweld fittings are used on offshore and marine piping, desalination and seawater systems, oil & gas process lines with chlorides, and chemical plant circuits where higher strength and pitting resistance than 316L are required.
ASTM A815 / ASME SA815 wrought duplex fittings — commonly WPS31803, WPS32205, WPS32750 and WPS32760 — with ASME B16.9 dimensions.
2205 (S31803/S32205) suits many chloride process duties; super duplex (S32750/S32760) is chosen for higher PREN / seawater and more aggressive service. Confirm design code limits.
Often ASTM A790 seamless or A928 EFW duplex/super duplex pipe — match UNS and product form to the piping class.
Both are supplied. Large OD is often welded/fabricated. Match construction to the WPS and piping class.
