Frequently asked questions — Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe & Tube

Which carbon steel pipe grade should I order?

For high-temperature process/steam use A106 (usually Grade B). For low-temperature / impact service use A333 (usually Grade 6). For heat-exchanger tubes use A179; for boiler/superheater tubes use A210 or A192. Match the datasheet standard first.

What is the difference between A106 and A333?

A106 is seamless carbon steel for high-temperature service. A333 is for low-temperature service with required notch toughness (Charpy impact). They are not interchangeable based on strength alone.

Do you supply both pipes and tubes?

Yes. We supply carbon steel seamless pipe (A106, A53, A333) and seamless tubes (A179, A192, A210) with EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 MTCs and optional IBR / NACE testing.

Can packages be dual-certified?

Dual certification (for example A106B/A53B) is possible when chemistry and testing satisfy every listed specification. It must be stated on the purchase order and verified on the MTC.
