What is ISO 3183 seamless pipe?

ISO 3183 specifies steel pipe for pipeline transportation systems in oil and gas service. Seamless product forms are preferred for many high-pressure transmission and gathering lines where a longitudinal weld seam is not required by design.

The standard covers two product specification levels — PSL1 and PSL2. Always write both the L-grade and the PSL on the purchase order.
