Savoy Piping Inc. supplies slip-on flanges (SORF) where easier fit-up matters. The pipe slips into the flange bore and is fillet-welded inside and out — simpler alignment than a weld neck on many utility and moderate-pressure lines.

A slip-on flange has a low hub and a bore slightly larger than the pipe OD. After the pipe is inserted, fillet welds secure the joint. It is widely used on lower-to-moderate pressure systems where the cost and fit-up advantages outweigh the higher integrity of a full butt-welded weld neck.

Slip-On Flanges (SORF) are forged pipe flanges used to join pipe, valves and equipment with bolts and a gasket. Facing, bore and pressure class must match the piping class.
Dimensional: ASME B16.5 (NPS 1/2–24) and ASME B16.47 Series A/B for larger OD; EN 1092-1 / DIN for metric projects. Material follows the ASTM forging spec that matches the pipe (A182, A105, A350, A694, B564, etc.).
Choose Slip-On Flanges when the piping class and installation method call for this connection style. Confirm facing (RF/FF/RTJ), class and bore/schedule on the purchase order.
