ASTM A182 is the forging specification for stainless and alloy steel flanges, forged fittings and valves for high-temperature service. Material class (F304, F316L, etc.) must match the connected pipe grade and the piping class.
Start with 304 / 304L for general service; move to 316L for chlorides; use 321 / 347 for stabilized high-temperature service; 904L or SMO 254 for severe corrosion.
Include material grade / ASTM class, flange type and facing, size and pressure class, bore/schedule, quantity, destination, and documentation (EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, PMI, NACE, TPI). Email sales@savoypipinginc.com.
