A threaded flange has an internal thread matching the pipe. No weld is required at the flange-to-pipe joint, which helps on lines that cannot be hot-worked. Not preferred for severe cyclic bending or high-temperature steam without project approval.

Threaded Flanges are forged pipe flanges used to join pipe, valves and equipment with bolts and a gasket. Facing, bore and pressure class must match the piping class.
Dimensional: ASME B16.5 (NPS 1/2–24) and ASME B16.47 Series A/B for larger OD; EN 1092-1 / DIN for metric projects. Material follows the ASTM forging spec that matches the pipe (A182, A105, A350, A694, B564, etc.).
