ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipes are Medium Carbon Steel Pipes with max 0.30 % carbon content with combination of 0.29 – 1.06 % manganese. These Pipes are most commonly used for general purpose applications worldwide. ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Pipes are ductile and strong Pipes with long wearing properties. These Pipes are manufactured as per ASME Specification and commercially referred as Carbon Steel Pipes.

ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Specification covers nominal (average) wallSeamless and Welded carbon and Alloy Steel pipe intended for low temperature use. Several grades of ferritic steel are included like grade1, grade3 & grade6. Some product sizes may not be available under ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipes because heavier wall thicknesses have an adverse effect on low-temperature impact properties. ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Pipes are supplied with NACE MR 0103 AND NACE MR 0175 certifications with additions of HIC testing at low temperatures.
Savoy Piping Inc is considered as the most Reliable ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Pipes Supplier from India.

In addition to the marking specified in Specification A 999/A 999M, the marking should have the length, an additional symbol -S-, if ASME SA 333 Grade 6 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipes conforms to any of the Supplementary Requirements S1 to S6, the schedule number of the pipe is ordered to a schedule number viz. SCH 5,10,20,30,40,60,80,100,120,140,160,XS, XXS, STD, and the heat number of or manufacturer-s number by which the heat can be identified as per ASME SA 333 Grade 6.
Wall Thickness : the minimum wall thickness at any point or end on ASME SA 333 Pipes and Tubes shall not be greater than 12.5% under the nominal thickness specified. Inner Diameter: for pipe ordered in inside diameter, the inside diameter shall not vary more than ñ 1% from the required/specified inside diameter.
The Manufacturer shall provide Material Test certificate of inspection to the purchaser stating that the material has been manufactured, sampled, tested, and inspected in accordance with ASME SA 333 Grade 6( including year of issue), and has satisfied all the requirements of ASME SA 333.
Pipes and Tubes manufactured as per ASME SA 333 Grade 6 are certified with En 10204 Type 3.1/3.2. IBR,NACE,HIC,IGC,IMPACT are adhered as supplementary testing requirements.
A for intermediate temperatures, the holding time shall be determined by straight-line interpolation.
B Grade 8 shall be stress relieved at 1025 to 1085øF [550 to 585øC], held for a minimum time of 2 h for thickness up to 1.0 in. [25.4 mm], plus a minimum of 1 h for each additional inch
[25.4 mm] of thickness and cooled at a minimum rate of 300øF [165øC]/h in air or water to a temperature not exceeding 600øF [315øC].
C Unless otherwise specified, Grade 4 shall be stress relieved at 1150øF [620øC].
For each reduction of carbon below 0.30%, an increase of 0.05% manganese above 1.06% would be permitted to a maximum of 1.35% manganese.
