API 5L X52 PSL2 seamless line pipe is used for petroleum and natural gas pipeline transportation systems — oil, gas and related transmission lines ordered to API 5L (often dual-mapped to ISO 3183 L360).
The digits after X are the minimum yield strength in ksi × 1000. X52 means about 52 ksi (360 MPa) minimum yield. Typical tensile minimum is about 66 ksi (455 MPa) — confirm against the ordered edition and PSL tables.
PSL2 adds tighter chemistry, mandatory toughness and more testing/documentation than PSL1. If the datasheet says PSL2, do not supply a PSL1 commercial substitute.
Seamless is preferred for many smaller OD / high-integrity packages. Large diameters often move to LSAW/DSAW/HSAW welded pipe — follow the approved construction on the PO.
We supply this product for domestic and export projects with mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1 standard; 3.2 / TPI on request). Include destination, preferred Incoterms and any inspection body on the RFQ.
