Material Composition: Hastelloy B2 flanges are manufactured using the Hastelloy B2 alloy, which typically consists of nickel, molybdenum, iron, and other alloying elements. This composition ensures the flanges maintain the corrosion resistance and durability of the alloy.
Types of Flanges: Hastelloy B2 flanges are available in various types, including weld neck, slip-on, blind, lap joint, socket weld, and threaded flanges. The choice of flange type depends on the specific requirements of the Application.
Applications: These flanges are used in industries where corrosion resistance is critical, such as chemical processing plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and oil and gas refineries. They play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the piping systems in harsh and corrosive environments.

Hastelloy flanges have good corrosion resistance in both oxidising and reducing environments, making them suitable for a wide range of high-corrosive Applications. Hastelloy flanges and Blrf Flanges are also extremely resistant to sulfuric and hydrochloric acids.
Because Hastelloy flanges can withstand some of the harshest media, they are frequently used in chemical processing Applications including acid chlorides, solvents, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, wet chlorine gas, hypochlorites, chlorine solutions and phosphoric acid. Hastelloy C276 is the most prevalent grade and one of the most corrosion resistant nickel alloys, outperforming most other nickel alloy grades such as Inconel or Monel. Hastelloy C276 alloy, UNS N10276, is the most frequently used and adaptable corrosion resistant alloy. Very good resistance to reducing and moderately oxidising corrosives. Excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance with very good resistance to localised attack.
Hastelloy B2 alloy, UNS N10665, is resistant to hydrochloric acid and other strongly reducing chemicals but corrodes poorly in the presence of oxidising chemicals and ferric or cupric salts. Furthermore, Hastelloy B2 is very resistant to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. However, because B2 contains very little chromium, it should not be utilised with oxidising media in the presence of salts.
Hastelloy B3 alloy, UNS N10675, is specifically intended to withstand highly corrosive hydrochloric (HCl), hydrobromic (HBr), and sulfuric (H2SO4) acids, as well as acetic, formic, and phosphoric acids. Furthermore, Hastelloy B3 has greater structural integrity than Hastelloy B2. However, because B3 contains very little chromium, it should NOT be utilised with oxidising media in the presence of salts.
Because of its higher chromium concentration, Hastelloy C22 alloy, UNS N06022, offers better overall corrosion resistance in oxidising corrosives than C-276 and Inconel 625 alloys. Outstanding localised corrosion resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance. This alloy is scarce and can only be manufactured into fasteners in bigger diameters (1/2" and larger).
UNS N06200 Hastelloy C2000 alloy is a corrosion resistant alloy with exceptional resistance to homogenous corrosion in oxidising or reducing conditions. It has improved corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid and process streams polluted with ferric ions due to the inclusion of copper and the high concentration of chromium. Furthermore, as compared to C-276 alloy, it offers higher resistance to localised corrosion and exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
UNS N06002 Alloy X is best recognised for its remarkable combination of high temperature oxidation resistance and high temperature strength. Its most significant properties are that it is stable, robust, and ductile at high temperatures, and it is frequently used in gas turbine Components and furnace components.
