introduction of 347H Stainless Steel Pipes and Tube
SS 347/347H pipes and tubes are manufactured with heat and welding treatments to achieve better performance in annealed temperatures and environments. These pies are specially designed for use in the chemical and food industries.
347H Stainless Steel Pipes and Tube is manufactured from a basic type 304 austenitic alloy with additional components such as columbium. This addition of columbium improves resistance to carbide precipitation and protects against intergranular corrosion. This austenitic chromium-molybdenum alloy offers improved welding and forming quality, increased toughness, and best performance even under cryogenic conditions. Unlike grade 304 steel, alloy grade 347 has superior creep resistance and fracture strength. It also performs optimally in extremely High Temperature conditions and has excellent high pressure strength. The metal has high toughness and good overall strength.
About 347H Stainless Steels
347H stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel Steel Products stabilized with columbium/tantalum. UNS S34700, commonly known as SS 347, has excellent mechanical properties that make it advantageous for use at high temperatures. SS 347 exhibits excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion even when exposed to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 to 1500°F. SS 347 and Alloy 347h is similar to SS 321 in terms of intergranular corrosion, which is achieved through the use of columbium as a stabilizing element that maximizes this capability. SS 347 and SS 347h cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but better properties can be obtained by cold rolling.
