Savoy Piping Inc. supplies ASTM A213 T22 / ASME SA213 Grade T22 seamless chrome moly tubes — the 2.25Cr-1Mo grade that remains a workhorse for hotter boiler, superheater and reheater tubing in subcritical power plants and many high-temperature process heaters.
T22 is the tube grade teams reach for when T11 is no longer comfortable on metal temperature or oxidation/creep demand, but the design has not yet moved into CSEF 9Cr territory (T91). Think hotter superheater / reheater banks and high-temperature exchanger tubes.
Procurement reality: correct heat treatment, OD/wall accuracy, hardness control, and clean MTC chemistry keep T22 packages moving through inspection. We support EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 certificates, optional IBR Form III-C, and third-party inspection.

ASTM A213 / ASME SA213 Grade T22 is seamless ferritic alloy-steel tubing with approximately 2.25% chromium and 1% molybdenum. Extra chromium versus T11 improves oxidation resistance; higher molybdenum supports elevated-temperature strength in steam and process service.
T22 is the tube counterpart to A335 P22 pipe. It sits above T11 for temperature capability and below CSEF T91 used in supercritical / advanced steam designs.
Choose T22 when steam or process metal temperatures push beyond comfortable T11 duty and the design still uses conventional 2.25Cr-1Mo. Stay with T11 for many waterwall / economiser / cooler sections. Move to T91 for creep-strength-enhanced supercritical steam tubes. Matching pipe: A335 P22.

ASTM A213 T22 (2.25Cr-1Mo) seamless tubes are commonly used for superheater, reheater and other high-temperature boiler or process heater tubes where higher Cr-Mo performance than T11 is required.
T22 has higher chromium and molybdenum than T11, so it generally performs better as temperature and creep/oxidation demand rise. Many boilers use T11 in cooler sections and T22 in hotter superheater/reheater banks. Follow the approved material class.
For Indian boiler installations under IBR, purchasers often specify ASME SA213 Grade T22 with Form III-C certification. Confirm the documentation package before ordering.
Both are ~2.25Cr-1Mo chrome moly products. A213 T22 is tube for boilers/heat exchangers; A335 P22 is seamless pipe for high-temperature piping systems. They are frequently specified together in the same plant.
