P91 is a chromium molybdenum alloy metal with excellent strength and heat resistance. A creep-resistant ferrite material (CSEF) developed with the aim of improving creep resistance. This metal is made by normalizing at 1050°C, air cooling to 200°C, and then heating and tempering to 760°C.
P91 pipe material is used in power generation, gas processing plants, boilers, heating and reheat lines, and most petroleum services. The pipe must be preheated before it can be welded. Baking is also an optional process for these pipes. Also, after welding, please cool down to below 100℃ before welding. Due to the material composition, seamless pipe P91 and Pipe Fittings achieves a tensile strength of at least 585 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 415 MPa. The content of chromium and molybdenum mainly contributes to improving the strength and corrosion resistance of P91 steel pipe type.
