304 pipe to A312/SA312 for general corrosive service. Strength guide: min tensile ~515 MPa (75 ksi), min yield ~205 MPa (30 ksi) for common A312 pipe grades — confirm PO / ASME SA-312.
Choose 304 for general corrosion resistance and formability. Prefer 304L for heavy welded sections; 304H when elevated-temperature carbon is required; move to 316/316L for chloride / marine exposure.

The nominal diameter of 304 stainless steel seamless pipe ranges from ½ inch to 16 inches, ERW pipe ranges from ½ inch to 24 inches and EFW pipe ranges from 6 inches to 100 inches. All tube sizes range from 1/8 inch to 30 inches. 304 stainless steel welded pipe is welded from a single piece of metal or a narrow strip. Seamless, welded, or LSAW pipes come in different shapes from round, square, rectangular, and hydraulic types.
